People Development Programs

Owning a global project from end-to-end requires navigating through organizations, cultures and processes. I owned AMD’s Technical Training programs, specifically focused on developing global top talent, high-potential engineers to take them to their next step. I introduced innovative processes that modernized learning and challenged the status quo.

Answering the call to develop tenured people managers, I was instrumental in creating a two-tiered people manager development program that targeted experienced managers who needed to refine their skills and challenge their status quo.

Strategic Planning

To put it simply, it’s all about “knowing what to do, when.” Utilising a tactical approach based on years of experience, I overhauled technical staff training programs that ensure that modern needs are met and prepare for the fast-paced future.

Training Delivery

Training is more than just reading out slides. They come to life when the right combination of tone, words and proper planning. I delivered regular soft-skills and inter-personal training, including DISC® training to intact teams across cultures around the world.

Training Management and Instructional Design

My strength is the ability to combine a contemporary modern approach, rooted in the established adult learning methodologies. Instructional design has taken a giant leap with the introduction of generative AI, not only streamlining processes but also the speed of which training can be delivered. Captivating training engages attention and inspires action. Modules that I have created employ thoughtful design underpinned by adult learning methodologies and are laser-focused on the audiences’ needs. I am adept in using Microsoft PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite and a host of eLearning authoring tools. Harnessing key learnings from my previous experience and gold-standard training practices, I not only own the training plan, but also its successful execution.

Partner Management

Collaboration is key and no person is an island. With over two decades’ worth of experience in the telecommunications industry, I have worked with many brilliant people across every Canadian telecom carrier and national retailers. Together we have worked on many projects together while striving for mutual success.

Sales Account Management

Taking on the challenge of handling National Retail sales accounts, I owned the end-to-end relationships that negotiates merchandising, incentives, sales forecasting and marketing for TCL mobile devices. 

Strategic Planning

I have been instrumental in PR initiatives, third-party agency management and field force deployment.
A long-term vision on a short-term timeline is a major cornerstone of my work philosophy.

Training Management and Instructional Design

I have created an ad-hoc learning management system that catered to the needs of Canadian telecom retail workers ahead of other regions. It became the gold standard of front-end staff training for the organization, meeting and exceeding training objectives and satisfying the budgetary requirements for such a project.

People Development

The greatest asset in any organization is its people. I established a comprehensive continuous learning and development program with the National Field Force that expands their capabilities. There are regular training assessments that focus on presentation skills and structured workshops that explore how to implement soft skills learned through live webinars.

Instructional Design

Utilizing industry standard tools, I created training materials for our field trainers and corporate partners. These included face-to-face training presentations, special events and one-pager sell sheets.

These training assets set our brand apart from others, inspiring confidence and trust in the brand.


Face-to-Face Facilitation

Delivery is key. I am well-versed in many ways learning can occur, whether it be on a stage with hundreds of attendees, a moving bus or virtual. I have received several accolades from peers and audiences and I have used these skills and experiences to coach field trainers and evaluate their performance.

Event Planning

It begins with inspiration. Using project management principles, I have planned large national multi-stop training events that are fun, engaging and unique.

Partner Management

Building on the two decades’ worth of telecom industry knowledge and relationships, I have worked collaboratively on many projects to strengthen brand equity and confidence.

Strategic Planning

Successful training isn’t an accident, it takes careful planning. Knowing how products are launched and maximizing learning opportunities is key. The golden recipe of a successful training plan requires insight into the industry and tactical expertise, lessons I’ve learned from having been involved in many successful product launches.

Creating unboxing and promotional videos for HUAWEI means communicating concise key selling points and projecting the brand image through engaging social content. The videos I have created for HUAWEI’s portfolio of products has been seen by millions around the world.

Equipped with comprehensive media training, I have represented HUAWEI as an official spokesperson in front of press, media and influencers.

Instructional Design

Creating captivating training for a top-tier global brand carries a great deal of responsibility. Not only have I taken this challenge head-on, I had the opportunity to innovate and inspire other global counterparts by delivering best practice training design. My work has been translated into 5 languages and was used in over 30 different countries.

Face-to-Face Facilitation

I had the opportunity to shape the training delivery of the Mobile Devices division, winning audiences and gaining accolades across the world. Trainings took place in traditional classroom-style sessions or virtual. The web training tactics that I pioneered was awarded a global best practice as an integral way to deliver effective training.

Partner Management

Successfully liaising with Telecom and National Retail counterparts meant mutual success. I have successfully forged many contacts within the industry and have worked with so many brilliant people.

Account Management

I was responsible for 700+ dealer, corporate and national retail stores across Western Ontario to represent Samsung mobile devices. These strong relationships meant strong sales, helping Samsung achieve high market share in one of the most competitive territories in the country.

Training

Honing my skills in small classroom and in-store trainings allowed me to work on the art of influencing. With thousands of training sessions delivered to a variety of audience sizes, I ensured that the company messaging was concise and impactful.

Event Execution

It’s not just about setting up a table and hanging up banners. Event execution means building a near-instant rapport with whomever you’re conversing with; to sell a device or an idea. These events allowed me to develop more innovative and impactful events later on in my career when planning national training events.

Market Intelligence

Building trust and understanding the competition is one of the core key performance indicators of a good rep. Knowing the competition and effectively anticipating their next moves allowed me to get the upper hand in my territory and ethically counter their store-level campaigns.

Sales Management

I have sold and managed at A-stores in Southwestern Ontario: Hamilton, Ancaster, Burlington and St. Catharines. This role helped foster my passion for technology and to further develop the art of salesmanship.
I have received the honour of consistently being in the top 10% of the country’s cellular phone salespeople and was part of the team that broke the $1 million record in a single day at the Hamilton, ON location.

People Management

I have had the passion for people development and mentorship from the very beginning while managing upwards of 20+ sales associates in Home Theatre, Mobile, Appliances and Computers.

Working in my departments meant you always had fun while being the best.

Inventory Management

Maintaining strong inventory control is paramount in running a "big-box” store. Store inventory counts, clearance inventory management and merchandising were my strengths.
